Tomorrow is Alex's last day at his current daycare. He's been there 5 years. I'm not sure he realizes the place we've been visiting is going to be his new daycare. We haven't really dwelt on it too much either. Change isn't easy for my boy.
It will be bittersweet. They took him in way back when and he has given them a run for their money! They stuck with us, even during some of the rougher of Alex's behaviors. We will miss them. I know Alex will miss his friends.
His new place is awesome. Children's Respite Care Center can handle him better and provide him with the growth and guidance he needs. They also take kids up to age 21, so Alex can stay here for awhile. Overall it will be a good thing, but transition could be a rough ride.
Stay tuned for Adventures with Alex.....I'm sure we'll have some new stories to tell!
