When God Hands You a Sign

You best be reading it.  And when he smacks you over the head, hello!

We didn't make to Kansas City.  Our good friends Sue and Cody invited us to go to the Kansas City Down Syndrome Guild Easter Egg Hunt. Complete with Rachel Coleman. I know right?  Kewl.

We've planned it for about 3 weeks now. My mom was coming with us and it was going to be fun. We wanted dinner at the T Rex Cafe Saturday night and then we had CoCo Key Water Resort all lined up for Sunday.

So early Monday morning, I have to get up to pee.  Nothing new, except when I got up, I about hit the floor. Vertigo. Yup.  And it wasn't pretty.  I got back to bed and stayed there til about 10:00am the next morning.   Missed work.  Got up Tuesday morning and felt fine.  Went to work, hit the grocery store, walked the dogs, made dinner.  Hit the sheets and BAM or should I say TILT A WHORL? The world was spinning again. Did the work from home deal.  Sue (see above) thought the chiropractor would be a good idea. I wasn't convinced but I tried it anyhow.  Worked miracles.  He thought it was the joints in my neck and not my ears causing the problem and he must be right....no spinning since.

So last minute I tell Sue we're a go.  I had mentioned on Wednesday that if I was still sick, we better not go.  So phew! We're going.

This morning we get up at 5:15am to be on the road (well we were actually up at 4:30 cause the clock in my mom's room was an hour ahead and she got up even earlier).  Loaded up the car and the sleepy/grumpy kid and Grandma and hit the road.  Made it to Rockport, MO and my car shot craps.  On the side of the road, stopped.  Seriously.  Two hours on the road.  Called around and the dealership said we could drive with the check engine light. So we loaded up and headed on south. Drove another 20 mins and the car just shut off.  That was it.  Turned around and went home.  I finally got the message.  Do not go to Kansas City.  So we spent 4 hours on the road and went nowhere........

UGH!

What, is there some sort of Vertigo Epidemic going around? You're like the fifth person I know of who has been struck! Hoping you are cured for good!!
